The Buddha's nourishment plan for the
heart
The Four Noble Truths, discovered by the Buddha more than
2,500 years ago, are a specific set of instructions to help
people find peace and satisfaction within themselves. He
outlined the way to accomplish this by instructing people to
follow certain recipes. But these recipes have nothing to do
with food. They focus on nourishing the heart - because that
kind of nourishment is what lasts and what makes us feel
full. This book offers a step by step guide to freedom from
the tyranny of desires that keep us searching for
satisfaction in places where it can't be found. By practicing
these recipes, you can cultivate a deep sense of happiness
that can't be found elsewhere. It's priceless and something
no one can take away from you. Lasting nourishment comes from
intimacy with yourself and with all experiences - including
our sorrows as well as our joys. The Buddha said,
"Freedom is just as available to you as it is to me.
Look within." So please follow these 2,500 ! year old
recipes that nourish your heart and enjoy the peace and
fullness they offer to you. I wish you well on this journey.
